ShipLock · how-to ·
One sentence in, one link out
You describe the app. Your AI writes it. ShipLock puts it online and hands you links that do different things for different people.
1. Ask your AI for the app
If you use Claude Code, install the ShipLock skill once and it handles everything, publishing included:
mkdir -p ~/.claude/skills/shiplock && curl -fsSL https://shiplock.app/skill.md -o ~/.claude/skills/shiplock/SKILL.md
Then just say what you want: "make a chore chart for the kids and put it online". Skip to step 3.
With any chat AI (Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek), paste our short instructions into the chat first, then describe the app. It replies with one block of code. Copy it.
2. Drop it on the dashboard
Sign in at shiplock.app, paste the code into a file called anything.html, and drag it onto the dashboard. That's the whole deploy. Your app is live at its-name.shiplock.app, and private: nobody can open it yet.
3. Make a link for each person
Open the app in the dashboard and press + Link. Pick what the link lets someone do:
- View reads, nothing else. For the person who just needs to see it.
- Add only adds entries but can't see what others added. It behaves like a form.
- Edit reads and changes everything. For your partner, or you on your phone.
Send each link in a text message. No sign-up on their end, no app store. If a link gets into the wrong hands, revoke it and make a new one; the others keep working.
